10/25/2014 — Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reports that on Thursday, October 23, 2014, at about 9:12 PM, officers from the Palm Desert Police Department responded to the JC Penney parking lot, located at 72900 Hwy 111, Palm Desert, in reference to a report of a traffic collision.  This investigation determined that, Florentino Diaz, age 20 of Indio, was under the influence of drugs at the time of the collision.

Diaz was driving recklessly in the parking lot, according to a witness, when he collided into a very large palm tree in front of JC Penney.  Diaz did not sustain any injuries.  Diaz was arrested and booked into the Riverside County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, and for possession of brass knuckles.

MOMMY MAY NEVER LET HIM DRIVE THE LEXUS AGAIN….

PALM DESERT, CALIF. (Oct. 25, 2014)  — On Saturday, October 25, 2014 at about 2:18 a.m., officers from the Palm Desert Police Department responded to the intersection of De Anza Way and San Pasqual Avenue in reference to a single-vehicle traffic collision.

Mommy is going to be really ticked to find out that her son got drunk and drove her Lexus into a brick wall. Timothy Hogan was arrested and charged with DUI in Riverside County Calif.

The investigation revealed a gray Lexus IS-350 was traveling eastbound on De Anza Way approaching the intersection with San Pasqual Avenue.

The vehicle lost control and collided into brick wall.

The driver of the Lexus, Timothy Hogan, age 25 from Palm Desert, was found to be driving his vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Timothy Hogan was taken to a local hospital for medical clearance and later booked into Riverside County Jail in the city of Indio for driving while intoxicated.

Carlton Scott Hershey II was drunk when he slammed into brick wall, say cops

10/25/2014 — On Friday, October 24, 2014, at about 8:28 p.m., officers from the La Quinta Police Department responded to Eisenhower Drive and Calle Tampico to investigate a hit and run traffic collision.

The driver of a white Ford pickup truck was traveling northbound on Eisenhower Drive approaching Calle Tampico and collided with an unoccupied vehicle that was parked on the east side of the roadway.

A witness saw the collision, followed the Ford pickup truck, and called the police.  Officers contacted 33-year-old La Quinta resident Carlton Scott Hershey II and detained him.  No one was injured, but our investigation has revealed that alcohol was a factor during this collision.  Hershey II was arrested for hit and run and driving while intoxicated.  Hershey II was examined by medical staff before being booked into the County jail in the city of Indio.

Two DUI drivers sidelined in checkpoint; 1 drug suspect, 40 without driver’s licenses

Moreno Valley, CA – Moreno Valley Police Department Traffic Unit conducted a DUI/Driver’s License checkpoint on October 24, 2014, at Perris Blvd and Santiago Dr. between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.  Checkpoints are placed in locations that have the greatest opportunity for achieving drunk and drugged driving deterrence and provide the greatest safety for officers and the public.
